I've just been signed off for a week due to chest pains. I'm not allowed to lift, stretch, sneeze or cough (?!) in case I make it worse. So I am sitting still and only one hour into it am bored off my bottom.
After being pressed and prodded several times, at the mercy of freezing cold doctors fingers I was given the verdict of costochondritis. This has inflicted me pain before, several years ago and to the untrained chest muscles, it can be mistaken for a heart attack. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Costochondritis. Thank goodness I'd had it before and knew what to do.
I feel insanely guilty for letting the most beautiful family down and not babysitting their gorgeous boys but I have to put my broken body first in this instance. Sometimes I wonder who got all my health luck!

Getting Married
I have been thinking mostly about getting married this week. Planning a wedding is fast becoming one of the most fun and most infuriating processes of my adult life. However, I have been becoming increasingly excited at the thought of becoming a 'Mrs' and creating a family with someone who has stuck through all the good and not so good times with me,
Yesterday I pondered the fact that we are not like we used to be, in the honeymoon phase where you're thinking about when you'll see each other next and your friends try to calm your nerves. Now we have a deeper form of love whereby being perfect is no longer a stress, as we know each other inside out and backwards. I kind of miss that initial excitement but I'm looking forward to the next stage of our lives together.
We have been thinking and talking more and more about having children. It's funny because we've decorated our little room with pale rose (pink) blinds and heart patterned bed clothes for my little sister. This would be very helpful for the future, if we had girls (which given both of our families history is more likely than boys). We've been talking about my family disappearing (my mum has revealled that she will be moving back to be closer and will be working from home 2 days a week) and how amazing it will be to form our own family.
Exciting times!

Guinea Pig Update
Chuck has learnt to stand up on two legs without leaning on anything. This was hilarious and brilliant until he tipped too far back and fell over. Whoops! That's what you get for loving vegetables too much mister!
We have put a new fabric tunnel in - verdict? = love, especially as it hides their path between the log tunnels.
We put a ball in with a bell - verdict? = They really enjoy batting it across the cage and making a noise!
They are so cute and happy with their new C&C cage with FLEECE. Fleece is a firm favourite! Chuck likes to pull it over himself and rub his face in it. Rodney has be good as always :)
Soooo want more piggies. Need people who are happy to babysit for more than a day though.

Flowers and engagement ring
My engagement ring has returned to me! And by 'returned' I mean we drove over an hour to Southampton West Quay just to be handled it over in 5 seconds and driving over to get my eyebrows done in Emsworth. Total waste of a morning but it's soooo pretty.
Other than that I've been considering flowers for the wedding. I'd like to go for pale pink and white or just white. My mum got married in the summer and had Atum Lilies so I can't do that. I'm quite into roses / peonies and gerbera but we'll see. Dan is a fan of roses too but also likes agapanthus because its blue. Not the blue I have in mind for our theme though, a bit too purple.
Feel a bit overwhelmed atm and all the magazines say to delegate jobs where you can but I can't see what I would give to who :S.
Dan thinks all dresses / bouquets / table decorations look the same. This is annoying! It kind of means the decision process is all my own. Makes me feel like I'm marrying myself! Hope his speech makes up for it lol.
The rest of the weekend will involve slobbing because I have a cold whilst also seeing my mum and cleaning the house.

The Ongoing Wedding Journal :P
Bex let slip that Dad is thinking of contributing to our day but Mum isn't. This isn't too surprising but we'll see.
I've been considering wedding music. I know you're not supposed to do that util you have "2-4 months to go" but until we have a venue, there isn't much I can do. On the serious side, I have an amazing wedding classics CD by Classic FM and on the not so serious side, we've considered things like 'Bright Eyes' First Day of my Life, Jackie Wilson's 'Higher and Higher' (Famously used in Ghostbusters) and Katrina and the Waves 'Walking on Sunshine' to complete the ceremony.
I find all of the traditional walking down the aisle music really boring and overdone. I'll probably end up eating my words on that comment as I stride down to the alter to Canon D or the Wedding March from Midsummer Night's Dream. The least overused one is 'Intermezzo' and it's quite pretty so might opt for that.

More wedding gabble
The challenges have kind of gone out of the window...
Anyway, in wedding news...
We have continued looking for more venues. We're seeing one tomorrow and another Tuesday evening. One we know is £10,000 just for food and venue and the other we're unsure of with regards to price.
We also got a brochure from Goodwood House but they're £16,000 just to have the rooms to marry in on a weekend. Makes me bloody sick. It's more akin to a deposit for an actual house!!!
We're also thinking about Fontwell as they actually include the hire of cutlery and crockery in their 'per-head' calculations.
Parents have still not offered a cent.
